Attorney Jennifer French is a native Virginian who received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Virginia Tech before attending the University of Virginia School of Law. While attending law school, Jennifer worked for Commonwealth Catholic Charities in Roanoke, Virginia. Following law school, Jennifer spent three years in Richmond, Virginia practicing civil litigation and then returned to Southwest Virginia where she runs our Wytheville office.
For over ten years, Jennifer has practiced law; focusing her practice on criminal defense work including all forms of traffic defense. She has committed her time to several pro bono cases, particularly those where the defendants were active duty military and military veterans. Jennifer is admitted to practice in Virginia, Washington D.C., and Fourth Circuit (Eastern District of Virginia and Western District of Virginia).
In 2020, Jennifer was selected by her peers as a Rising Star Super Lawyer based on peer recognition, professional achievement in legal practice and other cogent factors. She is also a member of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association and American Association of Premier DUI Attorneys.
Outside of work, Jennifer competes in long distance horseback riding (endurance), and is often trail riding on weekends for training and fun. In her spare time, she also enjoys reading and baking. Jennifer previously served on the Board of Directors and was an officer for the Floyd County Humane Society.
