Mikayra Young
Trial Attorney
Originally from Swords Creek, VA, Mikayra earned her BS in Criminal Law from Virginia Commonwealth University, where she served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate, as well as Senior Notes and Comments Editor on the Journal of Law. She also holds a family law certificate and earned her Juris Doctor from the Appalachian School of Law. She is a member of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, Virginia Women Attorney’s Association, and a member of Phi Delta Phi legal honor society.

Mikayra is married to her husband, Xavier, and enjoys reading, watching movies, and building 3D puzzles. They have 2 cats – Mavis and Kenai, and 1 dog – Korra. They are all named after animated characters.
