In Virginia, increased law enforcement presence and heightened penalties for negligent driving have contributed to the decrease in car accidents that plague our roadways. Accidents can happen at any given moment but according to data from the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles, there are certain times and days in which motorists are more likely to be involved in fatal car accidents. According to data from 2015, Tuesday at noon hour and Sunday between the hours of 1:00 AM-1:59 AM and 2:00 PM-2:59 PM are when you are most likely to be involved in a fatal crash.
